ERICA
Erica M. Ponder is an experienced writer, editor and digital content producer based in Houston, Texas. Erica has a demonstrated history of working in the news, entertainment and higher education industries, having interviewed and produced stories on several notable people, including Meagan Good, Slim Thug, the legendary Dick Gregory, Aventer Gray, J. Anthony Brown, Irma P. Hall, Gene Landrum, Sybrina Fulton, Tamia, Ndaba Mandela, LeToya Luckett, and more. In addition, Erica has also created professional bios for several entertainers, entrepreneurs, business gurus, and esteemed people in the industry.
Erica is a proud alumna of Prairie View A&M University, where she graduated with a B.A. in Mass Communications and worked as a news editor for the university’s newspaper publication. Erica also graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2017, where she received her M.A. in Digital Media Studies.
Erica has worked at four local news stations in Houston, where she has produced a plethora of digital content, a lot of which has gone viral.
