Sometimes the things we search for tend to be right within our reach. That proved to be true for two long-lost brothers who were separated as children, and then discovered as adults they lived about 15 minutes apart from each other. And just when you thought the story couldn’t get anymore bizarre than that, it does.
Kieron Graham, 20, and Vincent Ghant, 29, shared their incredible reunion with the world on Good Morning America recently.
Kieron revealed to ABC News he was adopted by Tim and Sarah Graham when he was just 3 months old, but as he grew older, he started to wonder about his biological family. In an attempt to cure the young man’s curiosity, Sarah gave her son a DNA test kit as a Christmas present.
After registering to Ancestry.com, Graham found that Vincent had a strong match with his own DNA.
y’all I just found my birth brother. I don’t know what to think. I’m about to go meet him. Turns out we go to the same college and have the same major. I can’t make this shit up pic.twitter.com/9xbQ9jx3hE — kieron (@kc_graham) December 12, 2017
After reconnecting on Facebook, the brothers, whose biological connection stems from having the same mother, found out they were also studying Political Science at Kennesaw State University.
“My most vivid memory is seeing a baby smile for the first time and it was his smile, my brother… More memories that I had was helping my mom take care of him because she was a single parent at the time and we didn’t have much support. I remember helping my mom change the diapers and playing with him a lot. It was a great experience,” Ghant told ABC News.
The faint memories will truly be a thing of the past as the brothers catch up on all of the years they’ve been apart.
And here’s another added bonus– Kieron was able to meet his OTHER brother, Christian Ghant!
Kieron has also since heard from both of his biological parents! Thank God for full circle moments like these!
I’m trying not to share too much, but I feel so blessed. Two separate messages from my birth parents… my heart feels weird lol :’) pic.twitter.com/2gI9WkYuW1 — kieron (@kc_graham) January 5, 2018
